Series: “Come, Follow Me!” |

The message in most
churches today is: “Give your life to Christ
and you will have forgiveness of sins and
certainty of Heaven.” How different this is
from Jesus’ call in the gospels: “Come,
follow me and become my disciples.” Most
churches prepare believers for eternal life
in heaven but do not give them much help in
how to live the life Christ wants us to
experience now. They birth “nominal”
Christians but not disciples who actually
follow Jesus. So, it is not surprising to
find study after study that finds a
remarkable similarity between the behavior
of Christians and non-Christians. Our
churches have produced generations of
professing Christians who do not differ in
nature from their non-professing neighbors.
Pastor Ron is teaching a series of messages
from the Gospel of Matthew. We are learning
from Jesus how we can do everything Jesus
said. We want to attempt to become disciples
who actually follow Jesus. So if you want to
really grow in your faith and begin to
experience the life Jesus called you to
